Last weekend a team from across the BJF Group donned their walking boots and running shoes to complete our Lockdown 2.0 Charity Challenge and run/walk a combined 350+ miles in aid of the Lighthouse Club Construction Industry Charity.

The Lighthouse Club are the only charity that provides financial and emotional support to members of the construction community and their families who have suffered an injury or long-term illness or simply need a helping hand.

The challenge, set just prior to the beginning of the second UK Lockdown, involved 33 of us pledging to run and/or walk a set number of miles each over the final weekend of the Lockdown (28th and 29th of November).

Throughout the month everyone involved did as much preparation as possible from extra dog walks to evening runs. This really helped us to keep our spirits up during a difficult time – something that is very much in line with the Lighthouse Club’s mission of improving mental and physical wellbeing in Construction.

So far our efforts have raised over £800.00 and counting!
