Having recently completed a reconfiguration and extension project for Havenhill Ltd and MEA Consultants BJF Group’s Construction Division has been awarded a new project in Bromley to transform the site of a former Pub into a new mixed-use development.

Expected to complete in Summer 2023, the scheme comprises a Co-Op store on the ground floor and basement levels with 8 residential units above. The building will incorporate a living wall to the rear, a green roof and solar panels and has been designed by Archer Architects to be sustainable and modern.

In addition, we will be completing a range of Section 278 works including reinstating a lay-by at the front of the site, redeveloping the surrounding footpaths, constructing parking spaces and installing drainage.

We will be registering with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and upholding the principles set out by them in order to ensure that our site is safe, well-managed and that we engage with the local community. As this site is on a main road and backs onto a number of residential properties, it is crucial that we work closely with neighbouring residents and businesses to keep them informed and minimise disruption to them as well as road users.

We have already been working in collaboration with the client and design team prior to starting on site to provide advice on the buildability of the original designs and have been able to work with them to re-engineer the planned method for the construction of the foundations which we expect will have a positive impact on program duration.
