BJF Group’s M&E division has commenced a major gas infrastructure project for The Warriner School in Oxfordshire for Oxfordshire County Council.

The works provide for a Gas infrastructure upgrade across the estate to include the provision of services to a new teaching block which is currently under construction by Kier Construction.

Prior to works being carried out, validation of existing assets was undertaken allowing for a programme of remedial works to be established. Below ground surveys were conducted to establish the whereabouts of existing buried services. A detailed design was produced and verified by our partners to ensure the scheme would meet both the requirements of the school and would be compliant with current standards and legislation.

BJF site management teams will work closely with Kier and the school to ensure that the works progress in a safe and timely fashion with minimal disruption to the ‘day to day’ operations of the school. The safety of the school children, staff and parents is BJF’s primary objective and this will be achieved due to the dedication of the site team combined with good planning and communication throughout the contract duration.

The new infrastructure replaces an aged metal pipe gas system with a new plastic MDPE pipe work, which will allow for safe and trouble-free operation for the school and pupils for many years to come.
