As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 we caught up with Business Administration Apprentice Summer to find out how she’s been getting on since joining BJF Group.

  • What have you been up to since starting your apprenticeship?

Since starting my apprenticeship I have been working as a business administrator on reception in the head office, here my responsibilities vary. On top of reception duties and admin jobs, I help other departments like Health and safety, M&E and FM.

  • What new things have you done/learnt since starting your apprenticeship?

Things I have learnt since starting my apprenticeship include any admin procedures I have had to do, but also learnt new skills or enhanced my skills such as customer service and communicating when answering the phone and learning how to manage my time with job loads.

  • What has been your proudest moment so far?

My proudest moment so far has been able to complete work for colleagues in different departments and it being reported back to my manager that I have helped them out and been appreciated.

  • What does your next year at BJF Group have in store for you?

The next year at BJF Group for me involves me completing for apprenticeship and gaining my business admin qualification.

  • What about your future longer term?

In the future, after my apprenticeship is complete, I am hoping to continue here to gain more experience.

If you are interested in an apprenticeship at BJF Group, we are currently looking for two electrical and one plumbing apprentice – contact Symone on 07443 265 308 to find out more.
