From the outset, the team took extra precautions to protect historical contents and delicate surroundings, and when ready, engineers systematically removed the old lighting, installed new LED fittings, and rewired the system to meet current regulations.
Careful handling was required to ensure all work met strict compliance standards, including The Electricity at Work Regulations (EWR) 1989 and BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. Each circuit was tested and re-energised before the team carried out a final inspection to confirm quality and performance.
The project was completed ahead of schedule, delivering a safer, more efficient lighting system while preserving the character of the historic setting.
