DWP Rhyl – JobCentre Plus Refurbishment

As part of a wider estate improvement programme, BJF Group was brought in to deliver a full internal refurbishment at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Jobcentre Plus in Rhyl.

The project aimed to create a more modern, welcoming environment for staff and service users, refreshing both the ground and first-floor areas without disrupting day-to-day operations.

Client & Scope

Working with long-term client Amey, BJF Group was selected to refurbish both floors of the DWP Rhyl Jobcentre Plus. 

The project was delivered in a live environment, requiring careful coordination and sequencing to minimise disruption to staff and visitors.

Scope of works included:

• Full carpet replacement
• Full lighting infrastructure replacement
• Internal decoration throughout
• Refurbishment of male, female, and accessible washrooms
• Kitchen refurbishment
• Blind replacements across both floors

Execution and Results

The project was carried out with phased access to limit impact on day-to-day operations. 

By working closely with Amey and site representatives, BJF Group ensured a smooth delivery schedule with minimal disruption to staff and the public.

Completed works on the ground floor have already transformed the space, delivering a brighter, more accessible environment. A Matterport 3D scan has been created to showcase the before-and-after condition.
