Following our appointment to an initial scheme with main contractor Guildmore in July 2021, BJF Group’s MEP Residential Division was awarded a second project for them.
The project saw us complete the electrical fit out of 74 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at Varcoe Road in Southwark. The new apartments included a number of affordable homes, with 17 designated for social rent.
The units were split across two blocks: the South Block, which contained 50 apartments, and the North Block, which contained 24 apartments with commercial spaces on the ground floor.
BJF were responsible for the design and build, including specialist systems such as the fire alarm, door access, CCTV, TV/IRS, data communications, and the solar photovoltaic system. All of the landlord’s distribution and communal areas were also completed by the BJF team.
