BJF Group’s MEP Residential Division has been selected by main contractor Guildmore to complete the Mechanical and Electrical fit out of a new mixed-use development on Swanley High Street.

Following the ongoing success of a number of M&E schemes for Guildmore, they have once again enlisted the support of BJF Group to undertake the Mechanical and Electrical elements of one of their projects.

The new £4m development named ‘The Meeting Point’ sees the transformation of a previously disused area and comprises 17 high-quality residential units as well as a 250m2 ground floor Business Hub. Funded in part by a South East Local Enterprise grant the project is part of Sevenoaks District Council’s Swanley regeneration plans. The site is ideally located within walking distance of a host of shops and restaurants as well as Swanley train station.

With a high SAP rating to achieve, sustainability is a key focus for this project which is why the development will feature air source heating and electric vehicle charging points. BJF Group will be completing the full design and build remit including specialist areas such as underfloor heating, MVHR’s, roof mounted Air Handling Units and fire protection including sprinklers. The design works are being undertaken in partnership with Kench Consultants.

With a tight timescale in which to achieve completion, BJF Group will be working closely with Guildmore to bring this highly anticipated development to life.

Chris Bateman, Operations Manager – MEP Residential at BJF Group said:

“Securing repeat work with a well-respected contractor such as Guildmore is evidence of the great work of the MEP Residential Division at BJF Group.

The completion of this project will further solidify what is proving to be a successful partnership between BJF Group and Guildmore as we work together to realise the visions of their clients”
