BJF Group’s MEP Residential Division has been selected by main contractor Guildmore to complete the Mechanical and Electrical fit out of 39 apartments in Lewisham.

Designed by Levitt Bernstein, this scheme within the Bampton Estate in Lewisham is being built specifically to provide 39 affordable homes for over 55’s. The homes are being built to HAPPI (Housing our Aging Population Panel for Innovation) standards which sets guidelines on how to ensure that properties are best suited to meet the needs of older people.

This is the fourth project that Guildmore have put their trust in BJF Group to deliver in recent years. Our team will be completing the fit out of all residential, communal and commercial spaces as well as specialist services including fire alarms, door entry systems, lightning protection and a smoke extract system.

For this design and build project we will be working alongside Whitecode Consulting who will be undertaking the MEP design.

To future-proof the sustainability of the building’s heating BJF Group will be installing pipe work to the perimeter of the site to allow connection to the district network loop when required. A further sustainable feature of the building is a vast PV panel array which BJF Group are responsible for installing. A total capacity of 41.10kWp will be installed on the project.
