BJF Group’s Mechanical and Electrical Division has secured a major fit-out project for a new GP surgery in Poplar, London working alongside main contractor ME Construction. The project will provide a first-class facility for the local community.

This project is part of the ongoing Aberfeldy New Masterplan, an ambitious regeneration scheme breathing new life into Aberfeldy Village. The ten-year, £200m plan is now in its final phase and is creating a safer, greener, child-friendly neighbourhood with new and improved streets, parks, and public spaces in Aberfeldy.

Spanning two floors and covering approximately 1,100 m2, the new Aberfeldy Village GP Surgery has been designed to be inviting, modern and spacious as well as highly sustainable.

Finishing in Summer 2022, this project will see BJF Group’s team complete all facets of the mechanical and electrical installations. The facility will include high specification Mitsubishi VRF hybrid systems, an advanced Nuaire heat recovery system and energy efficient lighting, all controlled by a Trend BMS system.

With sustainability at the forefront, we are working to strict BREEAM standards and are aiming for a five star ‘outstanding’ rating.

Steve Chapman, Head of BJF Group’s M&E Division said:

“The team is very pleased to be working with a new client, ME Construction, on this project to play our part in realising the vision for the surgery and provide a cutting-edge, sustainable and high-quality space for the people of Aberfeldy Village

Healthcare is a particular specialism of the Mechanical & Electrical Division at BJF Group, and with our high level of experience and understanding of the relevant standards and legislation this project is ideally suited to our team.”
