BJF Group’s Construction project at the Sevenoaks Community Centre has received excellent results from recent CDM and Considerate Contractors site inspections as the team progresses with the works.

The CDM report summary states:

“This is a well run site where proactive action is taken as and when necessary with good site safety practices noted”

The Considerate Contractors auditor had a similar view, saying in their report:

“Overall this has been a very good site visit with the site being well organised and being kept very clean and tidy.

It adds:

“Excellent safety and emergency arrangements were noted with site access being controlled and a robust induction procedure in operation”

The £1.7m project involves a complete refurbishment and remodeling of the Community Centre as well as an extension to the main hall and the installation of new mechanical and electrical systems providing a modern community space which will be used for a host of events by the people of Sevenoaks.

Not only will the project have a positive impact on the Sevenoaks community, the building itself is much more environmentally friendly than the old Centre as it will incorporate electric vehicle charging points, solar panels and more efficient heating systems.

Andrew Garrett, Head of Construction at BJF Group said:

“Projects like this leave a lasting legacy in the community and results like these shows just how hard our site teams and subcontractors work together to provide a safe, tidy and well-managed site environment.

Our recent CDM and Considerate Contractors reports are testament to everyone working at the Centre as we move towards the completion of what will be a hugely important feature in the town of Sevenoaks.”
